NEWS - Magnolia Point Match The second match of the 2012 season took place on Monday, January 23rd here at Magnolia Point. The weather was excellent, and the food was great. I heard many positive comments from all the participants. Our team finished in 2nd place for the day, which moved us up to 9th place in the overall standings.
Frank Mitchell was 1st for our team with 42 points. John Brown and Roy Gulick had 41 points each to tie for 2nd on our team. Jim Cardozo was 3rd with 40 points. Jef Flemming was 4th with 39 points. Mike Keyes also scored 41 points for the day, but was limited to 38 points for this match because he doesn't yet have an established MSIS handicap. Great playing by all you!!!! The rest of the team consisted of Denny Hurst and Don Dopp. Congratulations team. Well done!!
The next match is at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club's Ocean Course on Monday, Feb 13th with a 9 am shotgun start. Our scheduled Qualifying Round is set for Monday Feb 6th, with random pairings and tee times starting at 8:30 am.
I invite ALL seniors to come and join in the fun of the Men's Senior Interclub Series. We play some great golf courses around the area, you can win some good prizes, and you get a great lunch after play. You can sign up for the scheduled qualifier, or you can try and qualify during the week prior the qualifier.
